Laura is known to me in her capacity of being a Personal Trainer, a service that she has provided for me since January 2008. During this period she has demonstrated a professional, yet sensitive approach to the task of encouraging and guiding me towards raising my fitness levels.

From the outset, she adopted a business-like manner in analysing and discussing my immediate and longer term needs. I have confidence in both her knowledge and judgement, yet whilst looking to her for leadership, I never felt less than a partner in the joint venture of building my stamina and improving the way i feel about myself. During a recent session devoted to rehearsing a range of exercises designed to build strength and endurance, she was able to refine movement and insist upon a high level of performance, whilst simultaneously deepening my self-belief, coaxing a little extra effort from me in the process . In short, I believe her to be a very good coach.

Personal Fitness is clearly very important to Laura. I know her to be an active sportswoman in her own right, but she carries this forward into the way she presents herself to clients. Always punctual, well-prepared and impeccable in her dress, she arrives ready to work and determined to extract the maximum benefit from the hour we share together.

She has a personable manner, ready to make the session enjoyable through a mixture of incidental conversation and humour, but not at the expense of feeling that something has been gained from the work we do together, and that leads me to underline the collaborative nature of our work; it often feels to me that we work as a team, although it is me who is the recipient of the benefits.
